Inevitable and Invisible: Electricity as "Alternative Fuel"

An incredible pair of stories in the Detroit news here and here.

In one, electric drive is seen as inevitable.
In the other electricity isn't even mentioned.
Huh?

Thanks for the tip to Felix Kramer of CalCars.

Please help us put this new Solution to Pollution
back on the road to Sustainability

The Curtis 1231C controller on this 120V DC
EV failed recently.

Would you please consider providing us a replacement controller, as a sponsor?

The story was on TV, and you can surf details on many webpages.

Although this electric car is somewhat
inconvenient, its batteries are nearly cost-free, whereas other electric cars cost 2x-10x more than gasoline. And this electric vehicles' batteries are lead-acid ones that have been discarded.

The full story was on the front page of Burnaby Now. Further media coverage included the Vancouver Sun, Burnaby & New Westminster News Leader newspaper and Global TV evening news.

Is this the solution to global warming, climate change?
