So with all that energy required just to liquify it, I say its time to curtail and ultimately end its use as an energy source. A kilo of Uranium has A HELL of Lot more energy potention than a kilo of coal. Go figure ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2567859015477147199.post-58350426441554017542007-08-22T23:53:00.000-07:002007-08-22T23:53:00.000-07:00Gr8 looking wallpapers :)Gr8 looking wallpapers :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2567859015477147199.post-90999049250333017062007-08-20T17:21:00.000-07:002007-08-20T17:21:00.000-07:00The coal mining states have congressmen and Senato...The coal mining states have congressmen and Senators who believe that liquid coal is a great idea, because the U.S. is the Saudi Arabia of Coal.

Just because we have a resource, doesn't mean we should use it. We also have wind (but it's free!) and solar (but it's free!), but government and big business can't make money off of it if you can generate fuel in your back yard or on top of your house.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2567859015477147199.post-60183309596538561212007-08-19T15:09:00.000-07:002007-08-19T15:09:00.000-07:00Correct. Also, the nastiest coal, burned in the filthiest power plant, creates a fraction of the pollution in creating fuel for EVs than does the oil extraction, shipping, refining and trucking necessary to fill up a gas car. Then, of course, the car itself pollutes.Hewman1https://www.blogger.com/profile/12494474839502626151noreply@blogger.com
