Diesel-electric hybrids would be even more expensive, particularly in the USA where emissions requirements are more strict than Europe. CO2 and global warming is indeed overblown.

What he doesn't address is the growing disconnect between global oil supply and demand. Soon I expect that merely squeezing a small bit more efficiency out of internal combustion engines won't be enough to balance the scales anymore. That's when car makers who've invested in alternate fuels will pull ahead, and those who haven't (such as VW, presumably) will be left in the dust.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2567859015477147199.post-90468881947406688052007-11-24T15:35:00.000-08:002007-11-24T15:35:00.000-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2567859015477147199.post-75869037706820088712007-11-24T14:12:00.000-08:002007-11-24T14:12:00.000-08:00I always wondered where the tobacco lobbyists ende...I always wondered where the tobacco lobbyists ended up.
