How would ethanol answer the assault on corn, hydrogen on its inefficiency and expense, electric on the grid and recharge times, etc. The gloves need to come off in a public context."<br /><br />I was involved in the early planning of this event with the City of Santa Monica. I pushed hard for such a debate, and the producer of the event was receptive to the idea, but I think the need to get the big car companies to buy booth space, and the desire to have the likes of Terry Tamminen there killed any chance of a real debate happening.<br /><br />When they start planning for next year, we'll certainly try again. With all the expected changes in the world of BEV/PHEV in 2007, I'm certain we'll be looking at a very different mix opf vehicles on the floor of AltCar Expo2.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
